First off Yes, I would stay there again if in Clay. The staff is very nice, the rooms were clean and no signs of bugs or treatments to cover them up. Hot showers and great pressure. Those are the prime things I look for. Nice view off of the rear deck to the river. If no ones talking you can even hear it running. Cons - Parking can be tight if it were fully booked. The deck does need some work. It was a little scary on one side of the steps. Doors need some repairs. You can tell some people forgot their keys and tried to break on instead of just calling staff. We hung a sheet in our window. The lights are all bug repellent yellow bulbs and they shine right into the window. The curtains aren't blackout and slightly see through. Overall it's a nice little clean hotel. If your nose is in the air and you need something fancy this isn't for you. Most likely if you're in Clay that isn't who you are and this hotel is a nice stay. Definitely affordable. True small town hospitality. If you have an issue they'll take care of it. At the end of the day the room was clean and I was able to get a hot shower. We had a nice stay.

Clean rooms, good service and right near the trout stream. DirecTV and good solid internet Wi-Fi from Frontier. Cool shops with lots of trinkets and whatnots. Highly recommend!

They were extremely nice and friendly and able to accommodate my x4 kids wife and I. Super friendly and polite and made sure we had everything we needed. Has a nice view of the river off the back porch . Literally 5min away from rail bike tour which was very fun to ride with the family. This place offers the basic necessities so if ur looking for luxury with a bidet this might not be the place for u lol. My family and I were just passing through so this was perfect for us. No hassle check in and out and very pleasing and easy people to work with. Room was very clean again has basic needs fridge , coffee maker , microwave, they do have a BBQ pit in back by river . It's a small place to if u have a huge multi car family trip might want to plan accordingly. But very cheap price for a hotel if u don't need all the bells and whistles . If ur going to be out all day anyways this place is perfect go sleep well and go do ur stuff next day. If we return to WV good possibility we will stay here again. Towels to shower , coffee to drink nice little river to watch and relax . Offered everything my family and I needed for a quick getaway . Thanku for ur hospitality

This was a quaint little hotel to stay in and it’s very close to the Rail explorers that we wanted to check out. The staff was friendly and the room has all the amenities you need for an overnight stay and the back view was very scenic. The back also has a small grill area to cook some food if you want. and has picnic tables you can enjoy lunch/dinner in. There’s not a lot of restaurants nearby so it’s best to bring your own food and snacks unless you want to drive further away.

This place is prime example of "Don't judge a book by its cover". Although the outside is a work in progress the owners have been making upgrades to the property. The new beds are LOVE. The view from the back is so relaxing. Everyone on site is extremely helpful. The lady that cleans the rooms is the absolute sweetest. She will go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. Ive had the pleasure of traveling with my husband when he works out of town and everyone here has made us feel sick welcome. Great people and a great place to stay if you're in the Clay co. Area.
